A MAN needed urgent treatment for serious head injuries after being attacked in Kidderminster.

The man, who is aged in his 30s, was assaulted in the Comberton Hill area at around 12.30am on Sunday, December 8.

He had been watching a televised boxing match at a bar - likely in the Comberton Hill area - but cannot remember where he was assaulted due to the extent of his injuries.

The victim left the bar at around 12am and believes he was attacked after he left.

His injuries were severe and included serious head trauma which required urgent medical treatment.

Police were called to Comberton Hill at around 12.30am.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Police are appealing for anyone with any information or who witnessed a serious assault in Kidderminster last weekend to please come forward.

"Due to his injuries, the victim is unable to be sure where the assault happened or provide further information or details.

"Officers investigating this serious assault would like to speak to anyone who maybe saw anything suspicious in that area between 12am and 12.30am, has any dashcam footage or who has any information to please get in touch."
