A WITNESS appeal has been launched by police after a fatal crash in Kidderminster last night.
The collision involved two cars - a white BMW and a blue Saab - and took place in Spennells Valley Road at around 11.30pm on Wednesday, December 11.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called just after 11.30pm to reports of a crash in the direction of Comberton Hill roundabout.
The driver of the BMW, an 22-year-old man, died at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found fire colleagues administering excellent first aid to a man in a serious condition; he was the driver of one of the cars.
“WMAS staff continued advanced life support on scene, but sadly, despite their best efforts, he was confirmed dead a short time later.
“A second man involved in the collision was assessed for minor injuries and discharged at the scene.”
Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or any drivers with dashcam footage, to contact them.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Officers are keen to speak to any member of the public who may have witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage.
"If any member of the public has seen anything can they ring 101, quoting reference 0748S."
