A CHARITY shop raising money in support of disabled equality in Kidderminster has closed down.
Disability charity Scope says its store in Worcester Street had been underperforming for a while, resulting in the decision to shut permanently.
Debbie Boylen, head of retail at Scope, said: "Over a period of time, our Kidderminster shop hasn’t been performing as well as we would have liked, despite our best efforts to turn things around.
“This has meant we’ve had to take the tough decision to close the shop.

“I would like to thank our incredible colleagues and volunteers for their hard work and dedication serving our customers.
"I would also like to thank the local community who have supported us by shopping at and donating to the Kidderminster shop.
“We are committed to being located in local communities where we are most needed. We are currently working to identify further locations to have a Scope presence in.
“In the meantime, if you would like to visit a Scope charity shop, the nearest to Kidderminster is in Stourbridge.”
