SUNSHINE brought hundreds of people along to the Hampton Flower Show.

The show, which took place on Saturday, September 15, is in its second year. The show had something for everyone to enjoy with craft stalls selling a variety of handmade items and local charities being able to spread the word about the work they do. There was plenty to keep everyone entertained with displays from Vale Dance and Evesham Concert Band. With Pony rides, face painting, bouncy castle’s and, new for this year the Fun Dog Show run by Dogs Trust Evesham, there was something for the whole family to enjoy and participate in.

Hampton Flower Show's chairman Ged Bearcroft said :"This year’s show has shown how strong the community of Hampton and the surrounding areas is, it was so good to see everyone relaxing and laughing and just having a good time, and that is what we aim for, a community event that is fun for all, there was a fantastic atmosphere and we look forward to making this an annual event for years to come’.

The Tea tent was a hive of activity and gave the visitors a chance to sit down with a cuppa and a cream tea while the day’s activities took place, or they could indulge in the hog roast and cider bar, serving a variety of fruit flavoured ciders. Meanwhile inside the show marquee over 500 exhibits were on display and this years over all show winner was Colin Disley.

For now the team will have a few weeks off and then start planning the fundraising events to help fund next year’s show which will be on the September 21 2019. For more information contact lyndaMoore@hamptonflowershow.co.uk
