1st Littleton Scout Group recently celebrated with a presentation evening for all members of the group.

Along with their young people receiving activity badges, stage badges and awards for best lodge and patrol, along with chief scout awards, the group were able to celebrate success of their leaders committee. 3 members of the group received the award of merit. The award for merit is given for outstanding service of not less than 12 years and 10 years. It implies keen, conscientious, imaginative and dedicated service over a sustained period. Along with these the group were able to celebrate the success of their group scout leader, Charles Robertson.

After 45 years of service, he has been awarded his Sliver Acorn. This is one of the highest awards an adult volunteer can gain. The successes of the group were celebrated with other group leaders, group committee and parents. The group were also able to celebrate with both the District and County Commissioners.
