PUPILS at Bengeworth Academy in Evesham have been working hard to help create an accessible multi-sensory garden in the Academy grounds.

The children have been instrumental in designing the garden and also have plans for its future evolution. The garden will have features to delight and excite all the senses, including different grasses and surfaces to walk on barefoot, plants that will give off many scents, an assortment of sounds from the serene to the stimulating and many colours to catch the eye.

This week, Melanie Hoskins, Customer Relations Manager from Cavendish Park presented Executive Head Teacher David Coaché, MAT Business Manager and Pupil Parliament Prime Ministers Phoebe Short and Joshua Chibge with a cheque for £500 as a donation towards the project.

Cavendish Park by Majesticare is a newly built, luxury care home on Offenham Road in Evesham. Opening mid-August, it will have 67 spacious rooms, catering for all care types, providing outstanding care and offering a stimulating and fulfilling lifestyle within stunning surroundings.

Melanie said “Cavendish Park is committed to establishing strong connections and nurturing valuable relationships within the community. We want to enable all our residents to feel as much a part of the wider community as they do within the home. As part of Majesticare’s core values, we want to support our local community and contribute in any way we can.”

David Coaché said that the Academy was “Looking forward to building the relationship between the Academy and Cavendish Park, and that both children and residents will benefit from joint projects and activities.”
