A SINGING group is getting ready for an event called 'Ready Steady Sing.'
The day will begin with a workshop and then singers will divide into groups based on their vocal ranges. The groups will rehearse and then they will put on a concert in a church in front of an audience.
Kevin O'Donovan from Alcester Singers said: "It's a good idea. You can go from never singing in your life to putting on a concert in St. Nicholas Church in a day."
The group has members from across Evesham, the Lenches and The Vale.
No singing experience is necessary. They are looking for any singers to take part.
The performance will be conducted by conductor and musical director Dr Helen Smith, who has worked with David Lawrence and the City of Birmingham Young Voices, in a workshop with David Hill and the BBC Singers.
The event will take place Saturday September 7 at St. Nicholas Church Alcester.
It is £5 to enter and the work shop is from 2pm- 5:30pm. The concert starts at 6:30pm with free admission.
