A STORE has celebrated its 1st birthday in a town centre.

Evesham's Waitrose has donate 1000 every month between 3 charities. They have supported the charities with donations, raffle prizes and volunteering.

Claire Roumph, Partner & Branch Manager said: ''We are so excited to celebrate Waitrose Evesham's first birthday. It is a real pleasure having a store here in Evesham which is so well known for its love of food. I am so proud of what a great experience the shop is for our customers and all the yummy food we have here to try. We really look forward to a fantastic Christmas where we will be welcoming new and current customers to help them celebrate their best ever Christmas!''

Alice Haley, Partner, Healthy Eating Specialist & Community Lead said: ''We really love supporting the community of Evesham, partners have spent a lot of time volunteering in the local community over the past year, volunteering at local events such as The Battle of Evesham and Cycle Evesham Vale. We have also spent time at local charities such as Freedom Day Centre and The Dogs Trust. We have donated over £12,000 to local charities/non-profit organisations through our green token scheme. Waitrose & Partners are proud to support Evesham.''

The stores' healthy eating specialist runs free store tours on a weekly basis for the general public to attend in branch and also talks in the local community at schools and hospitals.
