MOTORISTS were advised to avoid a popular route between Worcester and Droitwich after a “road traffic incident” on Tuesday.
Police have been called to the A4133 Holt Fleet Road, Worcester, where traffic was backlogged.
West Mercia Operations & Communications Centre tweeted: “Police in attendance to road traffic incident. Traffic congestion due to this incident and traffic lights already in situ on the road.”
The latest data from Google Maps, which showed delays at the time, now appears to show the road as clear.
West Mercia Police was approached for comment but could offer no update on why the appeal was issued.
