I AM delighted to have signed my contract extension until the end of next season.

Negotiations have been ongoing throughout the summer and one or two things got in the way. It's been agreed for a while but it's been finalised now so I am delighted.

It seems to have coincided with me being named Nationwide North manager of the month but it was actually done two or three weeks ago.

I am delighted to have got it sorted and now we can look forward to the future.

The season's started to pick up. We said we weren't deluding ourselves when we were top of the league earlier in the campaign.

We are looking a strong unit. We have got competition for places in all departments so no-one can rest on their laurels. It is pleasing that people are coming in and making an impression.

It's tough for players to keep their place in the team at the moment and I have the luxury of being able to change tactics.

We started off poorly at home this season and we have slowly improved in our performances. We should have won the Redditch game in September and we should have won the Basingstoke FA Cup game.

I think we are getting our just rewards now for the performances we are putting in. Once you get that first win everything else seems to follow and hopefully we can put in the same level of performance when Leigh RMI visit on Saturday.

If we do, it should be good enough to get three points but it will need to be as good a performance as we gave against Droylsden and Scarborough.

Adam Webster is getting closer to a return. We will be looking at getting him involved with some sort of training tomorrow and next Tuesday and I think we have a reserve game on December 19 where he might be able to play about 20 minutes.

The Worcestershire FA Senior Urn match for the reserves against Alvechurch on December 12 may come too soon.

However, we won't be able to put a strong side out against Alvechurch because a lot of the lads have played in the Senior Cup and won't be eligible.

Apart from Adam, we are OK on the injury front. Everybody came through the Stalybridge game unscatched.

We started the second-half against Stalybridge really well on the front foot and conceded against the run of play. It was a poor goal to concede from our point of view.

We carried on and got ourselves back in the game and looked like we could go on and win but they came back into it in the last five or 10 minutes and could have nicked the three points towards the end.

I was pleased with Graham Ward and Chris Cornes. Graham has done great for us since he's joined and so has Chris. He is still working his way to fitness and he's only going to get better and better.

Shaun Findlay and Gary Walker also did well on Saturday on loan at Malvern and that's pleasing. Shaun scored both goals in a 2-1 victory against Aylesbury United.
