KIDDERMINSTER Harriers take on Chester at Aggborough tomorrow (3pm) bidding to make it three wins from four in the Skrill Premier.

In contrast to last term, Steve Burr’s side have made an impressive start to the 2013-14 campaign with a 3-1 reverse at Alfreton Town the only blip to date.

Victory against Gateshead (3-1) and last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Braintree, courtesy of Kyle Storer’s 89th minute goal, have lifted Harriers to sixth in the fledgling table.

It may be early days but seeing Kidderminster among the pace-setters, as they once again chase promotion, will be welcome viewing for supporters.

Tomorrow is a chance for Burr’s side to continue a formidable home record which has seen them lose just once in the league at Aggborough since New Year’s Day.

Although Harriers will be wary of newly-promoted Chester, Neil Young’s side have lost all three games to date and are yet to score a goal.

Kidderminster have a clean bill of health for the match as well as plenty of players champing at the bit to be involved.

Top of the list is Joe Lolley after the former Littleton striker scored in a 2-1 behind-closed-doors friendly defeat to Cheltenham Town last Tuesday.

Defender Jamie Grimes, midfielder Jamie Tolley, forward Nathan Blissett and winger Dior Angus also featured.

Harriers manager Burr said: “It was great to get some game-time for the lads who haven’t played much in the first few fixtures.

“I was impressed with a number of performances and that just shows you how much strength we have.

“The competition for places is fierce and it’s going to be important that we keep the lads as fit as we can.”
