WE have got 15 games to get something out of this season and get into the Nationwide North play-offs.

There is still over a third of the season to go so there's plenty of time left, but we are hurting at this moment following the draw with Vauxhall Motors.

We were 2-0 up and totally in control of the game. To end up going in at half-time two-each was bad enough but we ended up drawing after going ahead again at 3-2.

Their third goal from Tom Field was a wonder strike even though we made a mistake to give the ball away in the first place.

We gave the ball away twice for two of their goals and we could have dealt with those better.

There were a few harsh words said in the dressing room after the game.

We can't look around and make excuses and try and blame it on officials or other teams or bad decisions. It's our own fault. It's our own doing.

Some of our performances have deserved more but, ultimately, you get what you deserve in football and the league table won't lie at the end of the season.

The team have been more than capable of winning most of the games so far. We are capable of beating anybody in the league but we can also lose to anybody at the mo-ment.

The last two games - against Vauxhall Motors and Scarborough on Saturday -have more than proved that theory.

However, if we cut out the mistakes then we can beat most teams.

We have four more fixtures to play this month - against Stalybridge Celtic, Redditch, Leigh and Lancaster - but I am not going to look too far ahead.

Our pride has been severely dented after Monday but we have got to pick ourselves up and be right for Saturday against Stalybridge, which is another big game.

Every match is important but time and points are running out and we can't look back and have regrets.

We have got to make sure we go out and get the points that we need to get ourselves into the play-offs.

The team is still in a good position but it could be a lot better. I am positive that we should be better off than we are now.

One good thing about it is that the crowd are behind us. They can see how close we are to doing well but we have to repay their faith by getting results and wins.

Graham Ward had been on four bookings for a long time and his yellow card against Vauxhall means he will miss the Lancaster home game in two weeks.

Craig Wilding has been credited with City's opening goal against Vauxhall Motors.

Wilding's 13th-minute right-footed drive appeared to gla-nce off Chris Smith's head on its way into the top corner but the club have given the goal to the striker.
