IMRAN Yousaf scored twice as Stourport beat Sikh Union Nottingham 2-1 in EHL Men's National North Division.

The result saw fourth-placed Stourport move further ahead of City of Peterborough, who drew 2-2 at home to Doncaster, in the table.

Yousaf opened the scoring with a 15th-minute penalty corner. Nottingham equalised through Dharminder Hundal on 57 minutes, but Yousaf struck again in the 62nd minute to secure the win.

n The women's firsts returned to winning ways with a 2-1 home victory over Leicester Thursday in Midland B' Division.

Stourport started the game in a dominant fashion, but wasteful finishing meant the game remained 0-0 at half-time. The hosts finally took the lead in the second-half when Louise Wall beat several players and rounded the 'keeper before firing the ball into the top corner.

However, shoddy defending gifted Leicester a short corner, which they scored from to draw level.

With just five minutes to play, it seemed Stourport had thrown two points away, but they kept battling and were rewarded when Melissa Kennedy converted a classy reverse-flick shot with the last touch of the game.

n The women's seconds were thrashed 6-2 by Tenbury in Worcestershire Division One.

The visitors ran riot in the first-half and were 5-0 to the good at the interval.

In the second-half, the home side raised their game and managed to claw back two goals through Amy Smith. Tenbury netted once more to make the final score 6-2.

n The women's thirds went down 4-3 at home to Harborne in Worcestershire Division Two.

The visitors opened the scoring after five minutes, but a Kathy Doyle strike in the 10th minute levelled the game.

Harborne regained the lead after 20 minutes, but once again Doyle was on hand to restore parity after some good work by Rosie Connolly.

After the break, Stourport took the lead for the first time when youngster Gemma Brookes and Nicky Beasley combined to find Connolly, who tucked the ball past the 'keeper.

However, Harborne were not to be denied and they equalised with eight minutes remaining and went on to snatch victory with a goal four minutes from time.

n Despite putting in one of their best Worcestershire Division Three performances of the season, the women's fourths crashed 4-1 at Bromsgrove.

The hosts raced into a two-goal lead, before Stourport had an effort from Jen Peniket disallowed.

After the break, Bromsgrove went 3-0 ahead, but the visitors pulled a goal back through Georgia Hingley.

Late on, the hosts made it 4-1 with a scrappy goal.
