HAVING shown good form in the early-season open events, Steve Price won the opening time trial in Worcester St John's Cycling club's summer race series.
Price blasted around the tough Old Hills 10-mile circuit in 22 minutes nine seconds, leaving second-placed Dave Walker trailing by more than a minute.
Richard Graham was a further minute back in third with 24.36.
Karen Metcalfe opened her points account by winning the women's competition in a time of 28.44. Last season's women's series winner Ros Hope clocked in with 31.06.
