MARK Tucker and Callum Black have signed new contracts with Worcester Warriors.

Versatile back Tucker, who is equally comfortable at centre and wing, has agreed a new one-year deal that will see him remain at Sixways until the summer of 2008.

Rising front-row star Black, a graduate of the academy set-up, has penned a two-year contract to remain at Warriors until 2009.

Tucker, 27, signed from Northampton Saints in the summer of 2005 and has become an integral part of the Warriors starting line-up this season with 14 Guinness Premiership appearances, scoring against Bristol.

John Brain, Warriors' director of rugby, said: "Mark is a valuable member of our squad who is capable of performing well at centre or wing. I'm very pleased that he will be with us next season."

Black, who is an Irish Under 18, Under 19 and Under 21 international, made his first-team debut against Newport Gwent Dragons at the end of 2005.

The 21-year-old prop has continued to make strides this season, featured in the home Guinness Premiership clash with Northampton Saints and came off the bench in the local derby with Gloucester at Kingsholm in February.

"We believe Callum has a lot of potential. He's developed well this year and we will be looking for him to continue in that vein and push for a starting spot next season," added Brain.

"It's gratifying to see a player who only a few years ago was playing for Worcester Under 17s secure a professional contract with us."
