KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have signed the versatile Rob Taylor on non-contract forms following a summer trial period.
The 30-year-old has spent much of pre-season at Aggborough with the Harriers squad after leaving Tranmere at the end of last season.
Taylor enjoyed the largest part of his career with Port Vale, making 159 appearances from 2008 until 2014 having first established himself in the non-league game in the Midlands at the likes of Redditch United, Evesham United and Stourport Swifts.
After leaving Vale Park, Shrewsbury-born Taylor started last season at League Two side Mansfield Town before linking up with Rovers for the final few months.
Comfortable at left-back or in a more advanced role, Taylor takes the squad number 24 for tomorrow's Vanarama National League opener against Grimsby Town at Aggborough (3pm).
