CENTRE Wynand Olivier, who is rumoured to be on the verge of a move to Worcester Warriors, has been picked for the Barbarians.
The 32-year-old former South African international will be in the Barbarians squad for Saturday’s clash with Samoa at the Olympic Stadium in London.
Olivier is understood to have agreed a two-year deal with Warriors but is applying for a visa which would allow him to join Warriors ahead of their Aviva Premiership return.
Warriors have declined to comment on the speculation.
They will be coming face to face with the Barbarians at Sixways in their opening warm-up game on Saturday, September 5 (3pm).
Meanwhile, Warriors’ players have headed to Tignes in France for pre-season training.
Centre Heath Stevens, who played for Worcester at the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens in Newcastle, expects 10 days of intensive training.
One Warriors player already in France is scrumhalf Jean-Baptiste Bruzulier who has joined French Top 14 outfit Clermont Auvergne, initially, on loan.
