TERRY Jenkins reached the European Darts Trophy quarter-finals in Muelheim, Germany.
The Bull from Ledbury, who was ranked 13th, was edged out 6-5 by fifth seed Peter 'Snakebite' Wright in the last eight.
Michael Smith retained his crown and added a second European Tour title of the year as he defeated world number one Michael van Gerwen 6-2 in the final.
Jenkins beat Steve West 6-5 in the second round before securing the same scoreline against two-time world champion Adrian Lewis.
The tour continues this weekend with the European Darts Matchplay in Innsbruck, Austria.
