Worcester (4-3-3)
Severn: Didn’t have much to do, but was quickly out to smother Thomas’ one-on-one. 7
Minihan: Another solid display at right back. Provided a fine cross to set up Hughes goal. 7
Gudger: Dependable at the back with a couple of crucial blocks to shots while containing any threat down the wings. 6
Morris: No obvious errors but together with the rest of the City defence was unable to withstand the late aerial assault. 5
Sharpe: Looked uncomfortable when aerially challenged, losing a couple of headers in the first half,. 5
Waldron: Playing in a more central defensive midfielder role was solid, if unremarkable. 6
Vincent: A frustrating afternoon with misplaced passes and offered little threat before being subbed. 5
Gater: Always willing to push on from midfield, saw an acrobatic effort go wide and narrowly missed the target late on. 6
HUGHES: Struggled to make any impact when playing wide in the first-half, but moved more central in second-half and was immediately a threat. 7
Harrad: Struggled for support in the first-half and couldn’t make the impact. 5
Jackman: Couldn’t find his usually dependable passing game, was replaced by Deeney. 5
Subs: Nti (for Vincent 59 mins) 7. Deeney (for Jackman 59 mins). 6 Dunkley (for Harrard, 84 mins)6. Not used: McDonald, Geddes, Smith, Vaughan.
