PROP Joe Rees will be joining Greene King IPA Championship outfit Rotherham Titans next season.

The Welsh tighthead has been released by Worcester Warriors after two seasons and snapped up by Titans head coach Justin Burnell.

Rees played 24 times in his first season for Warriors in the Championship but was limited to just seven appearances in last term’s Aviva Premiership.

The Swansea-born player scored his maiden try for Warriors against Saracens at Twickenham in November.

"We've got lads like Tom Hicks coming from Gloucester, Miles Normandale who's played at the top level with Cardiff Blues and Joe Rees, a great player who's been with Worcester and before that with Ospreys,” said Burnell.

Rees, 25, made 30 appearances for Ospreys and represented Wales at under 20s level.
