BLACK Pear Joggers duo Adam Jackson and Sarah Kellett were in sparking form to carry off top honours in the annual Bulmers Bash at Wichenford.
Jackson won the men’s event in 38 minutes and seven seconds, taking an impressive 21 seconds off an already credible record.
And Kellett was the first woman home in a time of 49 minutes and nine seconds.
The Worcester Athletic Club run could be classed as the prettiest race in the county, if not the West Midlands, as athletes raced around the Bulmers orchards.
The apple trees were in full blossom and a colourful backdrop to the demanding 6.5-mile race, which included some strength-sapping hill climbs.
While Jackson took first place, David Price, from Worcester Athletic Club, was second and Michael Tomkins from Vegan Runners UK third.
Kellett was followed by team-mate Becky Hardie in second, and Joan Clarke, from Stourbridge Running Club, was the third woman home.
