OLLIE Walker continued his fine form to win the men’s Club Championship at Bransford.

Walker is one of the club’s rising young stars, who won the Worcestershire County Championship last year.

He set the early pace in the men’s Club Championship with a course-equalling par 72 to set up a first round lead of six shots from another of the club’s young talents, Harry Chadwick.

Paul Ramsden and Graham Wallace both had 79s to end the first round in joint third spot followed by Nigel Perry and Ian Pritchard who each shot a score of 80.

A total of 48 golfers contested the main event and the second round saw Walker hold his nerve.

He managed an 81 for a total of 153 which was enough to win the title by three shots from Wallace (77), who finished with a two-round total of 156.

Chadwick finished an excellent third with an 80 for a 158 total.

The nett competition was close with Mark Cox (20) taking the spoils on countback from Louie Turner (20).
