Worcester City (4-2-3-1):
5 Ross – did a decent job until the dying seconds when his tame punch fell to Nicky Boshell who slammed home a stoppage-time winner for Avenue.
5 Gallinagh – the visitors, particularly Wayne Brooksby, had plenty of joy down his flank as the stand-in skipper struggled in his first appearance since mid-December.
6 Chambers – started slowly as City’s defence made a number of mistakes early on, but as the match wore on the veteran defender’s class began to shine through.
6 Hutchison – was strong in the air, but lacked composure on the ball as he often made panicky clearances, which did little to settle his side.
7 WEIR – an assured performance from the left-back who gave City impetus when he strode out of defence and combined well with Cieron Keane. My man of the match.
6 J Keane – was guilty of allowing Avenue’s midfielders too much time on the ball in the first half, but played with more tenacity after the break.
5 English – defended well at times, but despite all his experience he failed to assert his authority against one of the league’s strugglers.
5 Steele – a frustrating afternoon for the winger who ran down too many blind alleys and his delivery was often wasteful.
5 Nelson-Addy – was a bit-part player in a scrappy contest and Worcester looked a lot more threatening when he made way for Jordan Murphy on 63 minutes.
7 C Keane – showed bravery to block the ball on the line moments before Boshell’s late goal and produced a series of terrific crosses.
6 Hughes – was lively when he had the ball at his feet and came agonisingly close to getting City off the mark when he hit the post with a header.
