WORCESTERSHIRE and Herefordshire Ladies’ County Golf Association have opened a new coaching development centre at Ombersley.
There are five other similar centres within the two counties.
They aim to provide regular, high-quality coaching to girls to help them improve and keep playing golf.
This is the first level of the county coaching programme, spotting and nurturing talented players and putting them forward for county, regional and national training programmes.
At Ombersley, Jamie Hodges is the golf professional responsible for girls’ coaching assisted by club member Helen Lane who will be the manager of the new centre.
The opportunity recognises Ombersley’s development of their juniors’ section and their staff.
