PERSHORE Town Football Club co-chairman Tim Webb has stood down at the end of the season due to other commitments.
Webb said: "Initially I had only intended to fulfil the role short term.
"Firstly under the stewardship of Ken Tallis and then myself jointly with Steve Bradstock, together with a dedicated, hard-working committee and other volunteers, in the last four years since becoming involved we have turned the club around having taken on a situation where it was on the brink of closure to one that is now stable, secure and self-financing.
"The club does not have any debt whatsoever and all the historical problems we inherited have all long been resolved and paid off.
"New income streams have been introduced and we have a sizeable sum in a new floodlight fund that we set up over a year ago.
"The junior section continues to thrive and the club's future is secure."
On the pitch after a disappointing first six months for the first team the final third of the season has shown considerable improvement.
Having finished four points above the Midland League Division One relegation zone Quentin Townsend will continue as manager next season and is already considering player recruitment together with at least one addition to the management team.
