SUPPORTERS have been giving their reaction to Worcester Warriors’ decision to release a host of players when their contracts expire in the summer.

Versatile forward Chris Vui is joining Bristol and among 23 Worcester Warriors players leaving Sixways.

A total of 18 first-team players and five academy lads will be departing Worcester.

Lock Tevita Cavubati is joining Newcastle Falcons.

Last season's leading try-scorer Cooper Vuna, fly-half Ryan Lamb and wing Tom Biggs are among the experienced players leaving Warriors.

Vui is a loss but I won’t lose any sleep over it as we have plenty of cover and to be honest I am not that worried about eight either. I'll be stunned and very disappointed if we do not extend Olivier and Potgeiter.

Anthony Butterworth

There had better be some good news this week because I'm gutted Vui has gone. Best player we found this year. I hope he had already agreed to join Bristol before coming on loan to us and not signed while with us.

Martyn Pattinson

Sad to see Vui, Cavubati and Vuna go. I have a lot of faith in Gary Gold so I expect some interesting announcements in the near future.

Mike Marshall

Best wishes to Tom Biggs - under-rated and under-played.

Chris Wood

Some surprising names on the list.... Am a little nervous about this many going.....

TVM Rides Again

George De Cothi is a pity. Ryan Grant and Auguy Slowik both short-lived experiments. No other massive surprises.

FlipFlop

Max Stelling is an interesting one as he just doesn't seem to feature, even though a regular in the Anglo-Welsh Cup and European Challenge Cup games. I had him nailed on for departure. Maybe his contract is longer than I thought or he is showing Gold and the coaches skills and ability in training to encourage retention? Thanks to the leavers.

Edward Birch

What are the plans to replace this amount of departing players? It seems like a lot are leaving and not many been recruited.

Nick Mann

I can't believe Vui has joined Bristol - gutted!

Ray Hall

Best of luck Tevita! You'll do well!

Jodi-Ann Stanford-Turner

Best of luck to Biggs too - a great guy.
