WORCESTERSHIRE chairman Stephen Taylor has praised the Rapids "fantastic achievement" in securing a home semi-final in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
The Rapids collected a series of big scalps to finish top of the North Group which contains five counties who play on Test grounds.
Now they can look forward to a last four clash in front of their own supporters against Yorkshire Vikings or Surrey on June 17.
Taylor said: "It's a brilliant effort by everyone - the coaches and the players - to get through to the semi-finals.
"It is a significant financial boost for the club and I would anticipate the sold out signs being up at New Road on that day.
"This squad has always had lots of potential but now there are encouraging signs of it maturing and coming to fruition.
"It was a tough group with five Test ground counties and to beat four of them was a tremendous achievement.
"Everyone at the club now hopes the lads can go one better and get through to Lord's and we all wish them the very best."
