WORCESTER Warriors' European Challenge Cup fixtures have been confirmed for January as they chase a place in the knockout stages.
The Sixways side host Connacht Rugby on Saturday, January 13 (3pm) before their final Pool Five match at Brive on Saturday, January 20 (2.30pm).
Sitting second in their group, Warriors have picked up 12 points in their first four games and must finish top of the group or as one of the three best second-placed teams to progress to the quarter-finals.
As things stand, Worcester are currently one of the eight teams set to qualify with Edinburgh, Connacht, Pau, Newcastle Falcons, Cardiff Blues, Gloucester and Stade Francais also set to make it to the next round.
But Carl Hogg’s side must pick up results in January to book a place in the knockout stages for the first time since 2009.
That year, they made it to the semi-finals before being knocked out by Bourgoin, a team who they had beaten and finished above in the pool stages. They also beat Brive in the quarter-finals that season.
In the 2007-08 campaign, Warriors made it all the way to the final of the competition, winning every pool game and beating Newcastle Falcons and Montpellier on the way, before losing 24-16 to Bath Rugby.
