WORCESTERSHIRE footballer Chris Bright wants to set up the United Kingdom’s first all-diabetic futsal team to compete in the DiaEuro tournament in Slovakia in July.
The 27-year-old University of Worcester student from Redditch, who was diagnosed with type one diabetes aged eight, plays for Pershore Town in the Midland League.
He is a Welsh international futsal player and founded the Diabetes Football Community in February 2017.
The DiaEuro tournament is open to adults aged 18 or older who live with diabetes.
The UK team will require 10 players, a coach, physio, doctor and funds to cover travel expenses, medical supplies, kit, insurance, accommodation, food and training facilities.

Potential players, coaches and volunteers are asked to email Harley Simpson at h.simpson@worc.ac.uk or Jon Peach at peach_jon@yahoo.com.
Potential sponsors can contact Bright at thediabetesfootballcommunity@gmail.com.
