JOINT-boss John Snape is unlikely to boost Worcester City’s attacking options ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Rugby Town (3pm).
City have moved to bring in an unnamed right-sided player to replace fleet-footed winger Josh Sarmento but it seems they will have to wait until Monday to negotiate terms.
Snape does at least anticipate having a fully-fit and available squad to pick from at Butlin Road as Worcester look to get back on track after a 5-3 home defeat to promotion rivals Sporting Khalsa.
“Nobody has reported injury or illness so we should be fit and firing,” said Snape.
“The sign of a good side is not losing two on the bounce, something that has only happened to us once this season. It is important we prove Saturday was a blip.”
Rugby sit a place and three points behind fifth-placed City on the back of seven wins and two draws from their past 10 Midland Football League outings.
“Rugby have put themselves in a positive position, they have won a few games and are very good offensively,” said Snape.
“They have a lot of quality and the league table rarely lies. It is about getting the best out of our players and getting a result which we hope to do over there.”
