WORCESTER City striker Mark Danks will feature for city rivals Raiders tomorrow having agreed a dual registration deal.

The 34-year-old striker is set to drop two levels to feature for the West Midlands (Regional) League Division One outfit at home to Tipton Town at Claines Lane (2pm).

The move allows Danks to play for either club without a transfer with City’s joint-boss John Snape confirming the circumstances would be assessed on a game-by-game basis.

“It will be taken one match at a time from the point of view of all parties,” said Snape.

“Mark is a bit short of match fitness and we will hear back from Raiders and Danksy over the weekend to see how it went.”

It is a timely boost for a Raiders side that has slipped from title contention to eighth following one win and one draw from eight matches in all competitions since winning 2-1 at Tipton at the start of November.

“Once we heard he was looking to get a few games we thought we would try our hand,” said Raiders joint-boss Karl Gormley.

“We hope to get him into the squad and it will be a boost because we have had a rough few weeks.

“We had a really good spell but then lost our striker Rich Smith and haven’t really recovered. We have missed his goals so much.

“Danksy is a proven goal scorer at a much higher level than this so hopefully, he can do the business for us.”
