THE in-form Tim Cawley won Ravenmeadow and Perdiswell Park's Stephen Misters Memorial Trophy.

He posted an impressive 63 nett from a handicap of 26 despite just five pars on the Worcester course and will now play off 24.

Richard Adcock (15 handicap) was second on 65 from club captain Stephen Griffiths (13) who edged out the fourth-placed Leighton Hine (13) and Tom Gregory on countback with all on 66.

Fifty players took to the tees with 14 bringing home scores of nett par or better for the course.

The Presidents Trophy round three of six went to Richard Ryder (5) with 65 nett from Brian Price (12) on 68.

Dennis Morse (14) was third on 70 on countback from Hine (13).

Thirty-four players took to the tees on a cool and blustery morning and only two managed to get round in nett par or better.

Three birdies on nine, 11 and 17 together with 12 pars left Ryder with enough leeway to suffer three bogies.

A ladies' stableford went to the on-song Gerry McLean (36) with 34 points from Magdelen Coomber (29) on 31.

Jane Rowland (28) was third on countback from Val Williams (37) with both on 27 playing in a chilly, blustery wind.

McLean carded just one par and five three-point holes but failed to score on three holes.  Ravenmeadow and Perdiswell Park seniors lost 3½-2½ at Gloucestershire's Rodway Hill in the new Three Counties Round Robin League.

Ed Nicklin and Mick Huggins won 2&1 and Mal Shepherd and Dave Brace 4&2 while Phil Lane and Malcolm Stanley halved.

But there were losses for Martin Hucker and Roger Cutler 3&1, Dave Philips and Roger Jones 6&5 and Roger Savage and Mike Ransom 6&4.
