FREE-SCORING Worcester City made it three pre-season wins out of three with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Dudley Town last night.

Strikers Nick Turton and Jordan Harrison both bagged braces either side of a Liam Lockett strike as City saw off their lower-ranked opponents at York Road.

The visitors missed a couple of early chances as Jordan Stoddart failed to hit the target after getting on the end of a Jamie Smith corner and Dave Reynolds headed Lockett’s cross wide.

And Dudley made them pay for it as they opened the scoring on the 15th minute.

But City hit back four minutes later when Turton beat his marker before chipping the keeper to level the scores.

Worcester then scored two goals in two minutes as Turton’s second on the half hour mark was swiftly followed by a neat finish from midfielder Lockett.

The quick-fire double put City 3-1 in front and this was how it stayed until the final 10 minutes.

Harrison added his name to the scoresheet on the 81st minute before netting another late on to wrap up a big win.

Worcester who have also beaten Malvern Town 2-0 and Worcester Raiders 8-1 this summer visit Redditch United on Saturday (3pm).
