FORMER Worcester Wolves player Stan Ocitti had a role in forward Robert Crawford joining their 2018-19 line-up.

Ocitti, a Wolves power forward in the 2012-13 season, is the agent of Crawford who arrives after a season at Rasta Vechta.

He was selected in the Eurobasket All-Regionalliga first team and joined the club's Pro A squad for the play-offs as they went up to the German Bundesliga.

The 6ft 7ins Crawford, 27, averaged 18.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, four assists and 2.1 steals per game, impressing with his strength, speed and athleticism.

His career began in the NCAA Division One team at Central Arkansas with an average of 10.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in his senior year.

The American said: “I’m very excited about joining the Wolves organisation. I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about the club.

“I’ve seen videos of how much support the city brings to the club and I’m honoured to be a part of that. I can’t wait to get to town and start putting in work.”

Ocitti said: “As a former Wolves player and student at the university, it has been an honour to play a small role in getting Robert signed to the Wolves family.

“I think the fans will appreciate his hard work ethic and warm character. Robert and I are extremely excited to have him be a part of a new chapter in Wolves history. The energy he brings to a team is contagious and that is what makes him a fans' favourite.”
