HADZOR’S Gaudet Luce hosted a regional round of the United Kingdom’s largest amateur tournament.
They staged the successful William Hunt Trilby Tour Championship of Worcestershire after weeks of preparation.
The club welcomed 144 golfers from their own club, around Worcestershire and as far afield as Ireland along with an army of spectators.
Unlike last year players were welcomed with a dry start at 6.45am and they continued to tee off until 2.30pm for a warm few hours ahead.
The final play-off over three challenging holes was a battle between the top four, ending in a tie-breaker on the 18th to decide the 2018 county champion who will be revealed on Sky Sports television in October.
They go to play at the international grand final this month.
Gaudet Luce director Alec Fernihough said: “The Trilby Tour Championship of Worcestershire has been a superb experience and it was great to see so many people here enjoying the course and facilities, both as competitors and spectators.
“Having the Trilby Tour here for a second year really puts us on the map as one of the regions go-to courses for any major golf day.”
