ADAM Webster's last-minute goal against AFC Telford could turn out to be an early turning point in Worcester City's season.

Had we not drawn the game, that would have been three defeats on the bounce and the point was nothing less than what we deserved.

We played really well on Monday and the more I look back at the game, the better I think we did.

I think it was one of our better performances since I have been at the club, particularly away from home.

We were pretty dominant. They hit us on the break in the second-half but we were much the better team in the first-half and they had few opportunities and scored from their first real chance of the game.

I thought we looked solid in defence.

It makes a bit of a difference having Chris Smith closer to full fitness and Rapinder Gill back in the side. Chris is a top player for us.

Adam and Mark Danks, who have been starting up front, have also been terrorising teams of late.

I couldn't ask for much more against Telford, the reaction was superb to the two defeats on the bounce against Kett-ering and Burscough.

If we had come out of the game with nothing it would have hurt us badly.

I've got to be pleased overall with the performance. I th-ought it was good and the support we got from the fans made a difference.

They kept encouraging the lads and they willed that ball in for us in the last minute.

We appreciate all their support because it would have been easy for them, when we went 1-0 down, to start getting frustrated.

There are lots of encouraging signs so far this season but four points from five games doesn't look good. I think we have played better than the number of points we have won.

There was nothing much between us and Kettering in the second-half on Saturday - there's not a massive gulf between the two teams.

The Poppies also had their strongest side out and we had one or two players missing.

The Burscough game was probably the most disappointing but other than the back end of the Hyde game we have been in contention in every game.

We knew when we saw the fixtures published that we were going to be playing some of the toughest games of the season early on against teams who had started well.

But they are good teams to play against and having Harrogate Town, unbeaten in five games, visiting us on Saturday is a big incentive to do well.

The new players - Peter Doran and Paul Barratt - have been thrown in at the deep end but, after a training session tomorrow, we should be looking at an improvement from both of them on Saturday.
