WORCESTERSHIRE Academy switch back to 50-over cricket on Tuesday against Northamptonshire at Dumbleton as part of the Tri-Series (11am).

Academy coach Elliot Wilson has included Rehaan Edavaleth, Henry Cullen and Josh Baker who were part of the Midlands squad for the Bunburys.

The academy lost to Warwickshire under 19s in two T20 matches at Barnt Green.

In game one, Riecko Parker-Cole top-scored with 41 not out to help rescue the County from 56-6 to 126-7 after being put into bat.

He put on 70 for the seventh wicket with Pete Clark (24) before Warwickshire replied with 127-5 off 18 overs.

In game two, the visitors chose to bat and totalled 169-5.

Baker took 2-31 and Parker-Cole 2-37 before Josh Breed hit 56 off 34 balls with two sixes and five fours.

A stand of 44 with Dan Holland (15) enabled the County to partially recover from 26-4.

But they were bowled out for 131 in 17.5 overs to lose by 38 runs.

Meanwhile, academy player Xavier Clarke has earned his first call-up for next week's Super Fours at Loughborough's National Performance Centre.

Clarke, the younger brother of first team ace Joe, is joined by Jack Haynes and Zain Ul-Hassan in the under 17s equivalent of the Bunburys.
