WORCESTER Warriors boss Alan Solomons expects to receive a report from the surgeon who operated on Cornell du Preez tomorrow.

Solomons confirmed the Scotland international had undergone the surgery required on his fractured voice box last Friday.

Du Preez, 27, is being treated at the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham after sustaining a blow to his throat in last week's 21-20 defeat to Wasps.

“He had a further operation in Birmingham so we are waiting for the surgeon’s report,” Solomons said.

“As soon as we get that then we will be able to disseminate that information.”

Speaking after Warriors' 21-15 loss at Sale Sharks on Sunday Solomons added: "I am certainly hoping that by tomorrow (Monday) we will get something (from the surgeon).

"I understand that further surgery took place on Friday.

“Everyone has been rushing around as we have had this game this weekend.”
