FLANKER Carl Kirwan is set to make his long-awaited comeback from injury in Worcester Cavaliers' clash with Leicester Tigers at Loughborough University tonight (7.30pm).

The former London Welsh back rower returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines in October 2017 to play for Cavaliers.

But he sustained a blow to the same shoulder that had been troubling him and has been recovering ever since.

Kirwan is one of seven first-team players in the squad along with nine Warriors academy aces.

Cavaliers will be searching for their first win of the campaign after a late comeback against Newcastle Falcons last weekend saw them pick up two bonus points.
