BROTHERS Tom and Abraham Jenkins combined to win Ravenmeadow and Perdiswell Park's Chairman's Cup.

The duo scored 49 points with Tom playing off seven and Abraham a 25 handicap.

Barrie Hope (7 handicap) and Owen Baker (14) were second on 47 while Mark Keeling (8) and Chris Williams (11) edged Richard Adcock (12) and Adrian Tinker (12) out for third on countback on 46.

The fine scoring helped many of the 24 pairings in their quest for glory in the Williams Challenge Cup as well.

In a better-ball stableford format, golfers played off 90 per cent of their individual handicap and the best score for each pair counted on every hole.

The winning brothers dropped in birdies on holes two, three, 13 and 18 as well as carding nine pars and scoring on every hole.

A medal at the Worcester club was won by Chris Derrick (33) with 55 nett from Barry Sandel (25) on 61.

Dennis Morse (15) was third on countback from Tony Cooper (20) with both on 62.

On a warm and sticky morning, birdies on the second and 17th and four pars helped Derrick after nine bogies, a double bogey, a triple and a septuple bogey on the eighth.
