WORCESTER Valkyries fell to a 43-7 defeat to Saracens in the Tyrrells Premier 15s at Allianz Park.
Lyndsay O’Donnell ensured Valkyries got on the scoreboard when she dotted down in the second half.
But the Tyrrells Premier 15s champions crossed the whitewash seven times through Poppy Cleall (3), Marlie Packer, Lotte Clapp, George Lingham and Nina Vistisen to secure victory.
The first half-an-hour was competitive with both sides imposing themselves on the game.
Valkyries showed defensive resilience before Zoe Bennion was sent to the sin-bin after a series of team offences.
The hosts took advantage in the final 10 minutes of the half with three tries.
Sarries extended their lead before Roy Davies’ Valkyries forwards were too much for the home pack who left a gap for O’Donnell to exploit and run in under the posts.
But Sarries added two more tries in the final 10 minutes.
Valkyries’ first home game of the season is against Richmond at Sixways on Saturday (2pm).
