PROMOTED Droitwich prop up Midlands One West after a fourth consecutive defeat.

They lost 24-0 at Dudley Kingswinford last Friday ahead of this Saturday’s home game with Hereford.

Fourth-from-bottom Worcester have one previous triumph under their belts but they suffered a third loss of the season.

They went down 38-13 at Old Halesonians and now host Dudley Kingswinford on Saturday.

Promoted Malvern have a similar record after going down 24-13 at home to Sutton Coldfield and they face a tough trip to Whitchurch on Saturday.

Ben King kicked two penalties to put Malvern 12-6 behind at the break.

Their line-out unravelled in the second half and Jack Curtis was sin-binned as Sutton forged 18 points ahead.

Malvern hit back with a Jon Wills try converted by King.

Bromsgrove are level on points with Newbold at the top of the table after four straight wins, most recently a 14-9 victory at mid-table Hereford.

Longton are the visitors to Finstall Park on Saturday.

In Midlands Three West (South), Ledbury beat Woodrush 34-7 but Upton crashed 41-13 at Nuneaton's Manor Park.

Pershore enjoyed their first win of the season with a 59-19 home beating of Bloxwich in the RFU Midlands Junior Vase first round.

Ash White, Martin Hope, Calvin May and Dave Oliver dived over alongside debut scores for youngsters Callum Andrews and George Meadows.

Oliver again had a good afternoon with 100 per cent success off the kicking tee while Andrews and Meadows impressed.

Tenbury also stormed through in the vase with a 59-0 thrashing of Hereford side Greyhound.

But Redditch went out of the competition 32-15 at home to Shropshire side Clee Hill.
