WORCESTER City Youth’s progression pathway continues to reap dividends as younger players make the step up in more senior sides.

The reserves, fielding only one player over 18, notched a convincing 5-1 win over Uttoxeter Town with a brace from Riley Keasey — the first a spectacular overhead kick.

There were further strikes from Ethan Moran, Myles Simpson and Emils Fedotovs in the Total Motion Midland League Reserve Division clash at Claines Lane.

The second string host Moors Academy on Saturday in the league (3pm).

City's under 18s side, made up mostly of players aged only 16, recorded an impressive 4-1 victory over fierce rivals Stourbridge in the NERF Junior Premier League.

Two goals in the final quarter from Tom Griffin and Tom Mills added to earlier efforts from Josh Schuck and Curtis Turner in a rain-soaked encounter.
