WORCESTERSHIRE Martial Arts' Kieran Hodgson is celebrating after winning disability sports person of the year at the City of Worcester Sports Awards.
Hodgson, 13, began martial arts aged four and is now doing taekwondo, moving up to green belt off the back of training two to three times a week at the Worcester club and more in his own time.
He has Asperger's and his dedication is inspiring other club members with learning difficulties.
Hodgson has already taken part in seven tournaments for the club, winning nine gold medals, three silvers and two bronzes.
Club director and head instructor Sally Gleaves said: "It's a fantastic achievement and he’s now inspiring other club members who have learning difficulties.
"We are always super proud of Kieran. He is a pleasure to teach."
The award was sponsored by Disability Sport Worcester.
