CALLOW End’s much-anticipated FA Sunday Cup adventure came to an abrupt halt with a 2-0 defeat at Eastwood.
It was an emotional occasion with a minutes’ silence for Ian Finnegan, the father of Callow End player Scott Finnegan who had died earlier in the week.
The match was all square at the break but the Worcester & District League outfit, which featured Stourbridge midfielder and ex-Worcester City captain Brad Birch, succumbed to two second-half goals Kyle Wrenn and Josh Rae.
A post on Callow End’s Twitter feed revealed plans to enter the national competition again next season.
