JOSH Hesson could face disciplinary action at Worcester City after throwing his shirt to the floor at the end of today’s 2-1 victory over Long Eaton United.

The incident happened at full-time as Hesson, a 90th-minute substitute, walked off the pitch.

Assistant manager Ashley Vincent, in charge in the absence of boss John Snape, reacted angrily and followed the ex-Wolves youngster down the tunnel.

“It is something we will keep in house," said Vincent.

"I will be talking it through with the gaffer. What I can say is we are a group at Worcester City.

"It is not about individuals, whether that be me, the gaffer, Mat Birley who has played at the highest level or any of the boys just starting out in their careers.

“We want to win together. Whether or not you agree with decisions made by the gaffer, me or your team-mates, you work together to push for the right outcome.

“More often than not this season we have made the right calls and we are having success.

“We only want people who buy into the group and want to add to it rather than anyone who wants to concentrate on individuals.

“Sometimes young people make mistakes so we’re not out to hammer anyone but the matter will be discussed in due course.”

Hesson played the first hour of a 3-1 win at FC Stratford in the MFL Cup on his debut.

He was an unused substitute at Walsall Wood and then featured for the final 30 minutes of the 0-0 draw at South Normanton Athletic.
