EVESHAM colts continued their good start to the season with a 34-17 win at home to Ledbury.

They pressurised the Ledbury scrum early on and James Carsberg scored the opening try with Toby Turner unlucky not to convert.

There was a switch of pitches after a head injury to a Ledbury player required an ambulance but he was reported to be recovering well.

Evesham scored a second try through Ethan Hatton and Jake Smith then burst through under the posts leaving a simple conversion for Turner.

Ledbury rallied to make it 17-5 at half-time.

Evesham failed to convert pressure into points until Euey Breach chipped through for Patrick Atkins to score a well-worked try in

the corner.

Ledbury closed the gap to 22-17 with two tries but a tactical switch saw Evesham's Kasey Grinnell score in the corner from the halfway line.

Sam Rogers completed the scoring with a try under the posts capping his man-of-the-match performance.
