WORCESTER City Wanderers Under 15s edged AFC Malvern 7-5 in a nail-biting Mercian Festival Junior League clash.

Wanderers opened the scoring through Aaron Price and though Malvern levelled, Toby Attwood and Tom Waterman bagged further goals.

Malvern fought back to lead 4-3 before man-of-the-match Attwood completed his hat-trick in the second period.

Adam Evans put City 6-4 up but the never-say-die visitors hit back with a goal.

Price netted his second goal two minutes from time to complete the scoring.

UNDER 16s: Suffolk Rangers won 6-0 at Welland Juniors in Division One.

Joe Corbett opened the scoring from Jamie Insall's cross and new signing Jake Ford added a second goal.

Insall headed in Danny Edwards' cross to extend the lead to 3-0 by half-time.

Luke Pearce (two) and Ford completed the scoring.

UNDER 14s: Whittington St Peters triumphed 4-3 at Welland Juniors in Division Two.

Saints were 2-0 down at the interval with their keeper Gareth Dayus keeping the score down.

With the wind behind them, Saints battled back with goals from Tom Lloyd, an Adam Kinghorn piledriver and Ryan Upson (two).

UNDER 13s: Worcester Raiders were grounded by a 7-1 Division Two beating from Blackpole Saints.

Raiders lost their skipper Aaron Davis with a knee injury and three quick Saints goals deflated the hosts.

Aaron Roberts scored a spectacular 25-yard volley to reduce the half-time deficit to 3-1.

Saints rattled in four more second-half goals, despite good displays by joint men-of-the-match Joe Fowles and Ryan Harris for Raiders.

UNDER 11s: Warndon Villages Whippets drew 1-1 with Bromyard Town in Division Two.

Keeper Matt Heywood had a superb first-half as Whippets battled hard on the back foot.

Bromyard went ahead later on but Matthew Stevens equa-lised to give Whippets a deserved point.

UNDER EIGHTS: Warndon Villages Scorpions made it two games unbeaten with a 6-0 win over Ombersley.
