A WORCESTER footballer is aiming to go one better with the England Women's Under 19s at the European Championships.

Chelsea Weston was part of the team that finished runners-up in the 2006/07 tournament, losing 2-0 after extra-time against Germany in Iceland in July.

Now the team, who also earned a place at next year's World Cup in Chile as a result, are preparing to qualify for the 2007/08 event.

The 17-year-old, a full-back with Birmingham City Ladies, has kept her place in the squad and is raring to go.

England travel to Lithuania for first qualifying round matches against the Faroe Islands on Thursday, the host nation two days later and Spain on October 2.

Weston, a student at Worcester Sixth Form College, said: "Hopefully we can go and win it because we could have beaten Germany. They just over-powered us."
