TEENAGER George Lloyd aims to continue his early impact for Hereford FC when they host ninth-placed Altrincham in National League North on Saturday (3pm).

Lloyd, 18, netted his second goal in as many games in a 1-1 draw at AFC Telford United on Tuesday.

The Cheltenham Town loanee also scored in the Bulls' 3-1 defeat at Boston United last Saturday.

Keeper Matt Yates, on loan from Derby County, helped Marc Richards' 18th-placed side earn a vital point at Telford.

Lloyd said: “It was a great shift for the boys to get a 1-1 draw in the end as it was backs against the wall for most of the second half.

“I just like to help the team out and you have to put hard work in to get a result in the end. I’m happy to score another goal and happy for the team.

“The new management have changed the game a bit and it’s all helped so we have got a good spirit."

Richards said: “We have got a good foundation to build on now.

"I feel so positive at the moment about where we can take this squad and this club and it is coming out now in performances. I’m really pleased for him (Lloyd). He is a great character and for such a young kid he has got a hell of a career in front of him.”

Hereford have not win in the league since August 14 when they beat Leamington 2-1.

Young midfielder Harry Franklin has joined Redditch United on dual-registration until January.
